Michigan Or Bust

Yesterday after work I loaded the car and headed up to Michigan to help take care of my Grandkiddos.  My Son and his wife are preparing for a move to Oregon.  Craig's been there since July while Amy has held down the fort here in Michigan getting the house sold.  Which it did last week! Yeah! But now the rush is on to find new digs out west. I'm hoping they can find a gem that will be the perfect place for their family.  So Amy flew out this morning to Portland and I'm here doing the YaYa thing.  Poor kiddos!  I have the list of must dos...will dos..can dos...don't dos...and hopefully I will DO a good job.  After raising 4 boys of my own I think I can handle it...maybe....So I'll be back next week with pics and stories.  Already I'm struggling with the TV, netflix, many remotes and My Little Pony DVDs! Help! The first big step was making it up here without getting lost...Gotta love the GPS.  Now if I can just get around town and not end up in Lake Michigan I'll feel pretty good!

Ah Yaya, you are such a wonderful grandmother for doing this for your grandkidoes.

I wouldn't be of much help with the TV remotes. I don't understand ours either since we got on fibre optic reception.

They will love you being there and I'm sure that you'll do just fine.

I love you Halloween ghosts decor in your entrance and your page looks very updated for the occasion.

Have a fun and safe sitting jog although I'm sure that you won't be sitting much.

Hugs, JB

Good luck!!! and have a great time with the kiddos...you may not see them for awhile if they're moving way out west.
I can remember failing to put the right DVD on for our grandboys while their parents were on a vacation. They had me in tears until I finally called up my daughter and asked her how to do it!

Oh man, I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one. You are one great Yaya to get in the car and do the long distance and keep kiddos. Hopefully, they will have great success finding the perfect place for them and you and the kids will make great memories together.

Jack was telling me about your adventure Wednesday night! How fun.

I hope you get the remotes mastered.

Good luck Yaya. I know what you mean about all the tech stuff and the kids seem to have it all. The kiddies may be of some help there.
I'm sure you have a zillion lists. Just do the best you can and enjoy those babies.
What a grand opportunity to spend time with them without the parents.
Blessings, Barb

It is nice to spend time before they move far away. I know what you mean about all the gadgets we got a new tv today and I have no clue how to get it running.

Have fun! And the kiddos can probably teach you how to use the remotes. :)

Ah, that's what grandmothers are for, to rush over when needed, even if just for a weekend. They will all be moving further away soon, and you will have to dash over further and further from your present home. Well, life is not perfect; but we keep trying.

Sometimes I think the worst thing is trying to figure out someone else's TV and DVR system. Have fun with the little ones!

You are the best grandmother EVER. Seriously. I am so incapable of getting around strange areas -- even with a GPS. I mean, I get lost in my own area with a GPS ... Sad, yes, but it keeps things interesting.

Have fun in Michigan with your grand kids.
I finally got to read what's going on in your world. Since your blog name starts with "W" I don't see it until the very end of my reading list.
Bring back some pictures of those cuties:)
