Short Month..Big Snow

February has started out with more snow than all of January.  I don't care what the stupid groundhog said, it's Winter!  Here are some scenes from the Pines:
Come on down our country road..the plows have been here!
Pull into the driveway and don't let the archway of Pine trees intimate you...think we need a trim?
You'll know it's us by the rock formations...Any Starkey whisperings usually make it to the blog!
Once inside, it's pine heaven!
But we do have other sights...take some time to enjoy the gurgling of our little creek that runs from the woods all the way down our side yard.  Today we're having a mini snowstorm...about 4in. is expected and the schools are letting students out early because the roads are getting slick out in the country. Here's a little video I took this afternoon....hope you don't get seasick..I almost did!

Our day was similar. Schools were cancelled and light snow falling, making for slippery roads. Except no creepy woods :)

Your creepy woods are so beautiful in any season. It was so much fun listening to your voice in the video.

I should learn to make little videos too but I'm not very techy and I get rather intimidated by anything that I haven't tried.

It's snowing here too with high wind and blowing snow.

Take care and stay safe and warm.
Hugs,
JB

I stayed late tonight to get things done. Kyle came and got me at 6:30. Hope there is a chance at a snow day. :)

What a fun trip to Whispering Pines! Brrr. The last few days have been springlike here. I almost envy you because I love a good "snow day." it was nice hearing your voice as you took us down the lane in the woods. Thanks.

Those woods are beautiful. Your pine trees are very pretty, they remind me of Bob Ross's pine trees. It is nice to see you and hear you as well. You seems to be a pro with the video camera.

All the best

Loved the little walk in the snow :) I see you have a creek gurgling through your property...just as Donna does :) Same creek? Sweet!

Lovely property you have there. It looks very much like the walk I took in the snow squall yesterday. Except I was too chicken to bring my camera. Thanks for the snowy stroll.

Man! It sure did come down this past weekend! We were reminded again of why we live in SC, BUT it is beautiful...especially at your house. Nice to see you again for a few minutes on Sunday, my half Greek sister! :)

I'm kind of like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. I think we should catch that little furry rat, cook it and eat it :)
Just kidding PETA.
It does look pretty though.

Big snow indeed. And I love the sounds as you walk through the creepy woods in the snow.

I can almost hear the freshness of the air.
